Between Hilpertstrasse and Rudolf-Schwanderstrasse a parking landscape for 467 cars. It used to be parking on the natural slopes of Kassel(one layer). The structure (several layers) connects both streets. On top there is a sky bar that will attract people, also at night. There is a beautiful view over the city. The headlights of the cars will shine over the city and they will give a playful effect in the structure. The existing sexclub will be remained. It will be the node that keeps the structure together. A translucent facade will give a mysterious shimmering of the visitors of the club. The structure will be dressed in a metal-textile on which a hedra helix (ivy)will grow. The basin on top of the sky bar will water the hedra. GO TO OTHER PROJECTS |
